A Bit Of A Departure

I've got some non-wood-related stuff going on right now. Yesterday I was doing bricklaying for the first time in... years. Soon I'll be patching drywall and whatnot. Is anyone interested in blog entries on the non-wood stuff?

I feel like an enabler on this blog. I don't know much about that stuff, so yeah, I'd be interested. Of course, I've also been reading Kingshott, so if you had any inclination to talk about metalworking, you would find me interested in that, as well. I dream of being able to make my own (metal, but wood too) planes, but reading Holtey's blog just makes my eyes bug out, and is a little discouraging, oddly. Given that that's your WORK, though, I would understand if that particular area didn't interest you so much.

I have to say that I am NOT interested. Sorry.

Bring it on

Well, I forgot to take the camera the day I did the brick-work, so I might have to sort of... invent something. True to form, I forgot it on the day I did the vast majority of the drywall at the farm. However, the drywall at the farm is a non-standard application (it's plaster over concrete board) so it wouldn't be as much use to anyone, anyway. So, once I'm done the last coat of mud on the drywall at the farm I'll patch a few things at home so I'll have the camera here.

Well, I'm done the drywall work at the farm, so I've got my drywall tools back at home, so I can start on that stuff, perhaps this weekend.
It's nice to have that job done. I still have work to do, there, including making new barn doors (out of wood!) so more to follow...
